how i work

I answer old question in new ways and always give the team a fresh perspective.
Coming from a pre-urban design background in math, I tend to view the city as geometric shapes and patterns. My idea is that these patterns influence how we use the city, how it performs, how it can support retail and commerce, and ultimately how sustainable it is. Our designs must seek to improve or modify these patterns to create the environment we want to achieve — and this is where I come in.
I identify and understand these patterns through a more ‘geometric’ perspective, and also by using techniques of Space Syntax and approaches I developed in my own PhD research. I believe that by answering the ‘soft’ questions with ‘hard’ answers, we can gain new insight in how the city performs and make more sensitive design solutions in response.
